Port of Grenaa has for a long time absorbed the steadily rising energy prices, which are currently at historically high levels.
The ever-increasing prices now have a direct and major financial impact on our daily operations, which means that as of 1 November 2022 we have decided to introduce an energy surcharge.
The energy surcharge as of 1 January 2023 is as follows:Mobile cranes: DKK 239.00 per hourOther (reachstackers, trucks, rubber-tired): DKK 135.00 per hour
The Port of Grenaa's energy supplement will be updated on the port's website at the end of each quarter (next time as of 1 April 2023). This update, which is based on the previous quarter's average prices for diesel and electricity, will be available by the 20th of the last month of the current quarter. The energy surcharge will be calculated until the prices for diesel and electricity are back at their initial base level. Base levels are based on average diesel and electricity prices for 2020 and 2021 of DKK 9.46 for a litre of diesel and DKK 0.56 per KWH for electricity respectively (excluding tax and VAT).
With reference to the above, we have decided that in 2023 there will be no ordinary increase in the hourly rates for our rolling stock.
