Port of Grenaa has for a long time absorbed the steadily rising energy prices, which are currently at historically high levels.

The ever-increasing prices now have a direct and major financial impact on our daily operations, which means that as of 1 November 2022 we have decided to introduce an energy surcharge.

The energy surcharge as of 1 January 2023 is as follows:
Mobile cranes: DKK 239.00 per hour
Other (reachstackers, trucks, rubber-tired): DKK 135.00 per hour

The Port of Grenaa's energy surcharge is valid up to and including 30 June 2023. At the end of June, the website will be updated for the next coming quarter.

This update, which is based on the previous quarter's average prices for diesel and electricity, will be available no later than the 20th of the last month of the current quarter. The energy surcharge will be calculated until diesel and electricity prices are back to their original base levels. Base levels are based on average diesel and electricity prices for 2020 and 2021 of respectively DKK 9.46 for a liter of diesel and DKK 0.56 per KWH for electricity (excluding tax and VAT).

With reference to the above, we have decided that in 2023 there will be no ordinary increase in the hourly rates for our rolling stock.
