Port of Grenaa is ISPS secure area

Port of Grenaa follows the legislation on the protection of international maritime traffic and port facilities. Therefore, access to the port is secured by fences, camera surveillance and a boom system, a so-called ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) safe area. In general, the port's customers are demanding greater security measures in the port area, which the ISPS security also contributes to. For example, safer handling of large machinery and heavy equipment.

Access to ISPS area

People with a valid ID card operate the bus system themselves via the card scanner. Other visitors, suppliers, etc. to ships calling at the port and to businesses at the port can gain access by contacting the control centre at the berth. If you are going out and coming in several times in the same day, or if your visit lasts longer than one day, you must go to Port Centre for approval, registration and the issue of a valid guest card. A guest card is not required for a single short visit.

Video surveillance and access control policy

As part of the Port of Grenaa Group's video surveillance and access control, personal data is collected, processed and stored about the people who move around the area.

This applies both to persons with permanent access to the area, including persons employed by the port's tenants or other partners, and to persons with occasional access. On our port map you will also find the location of the four boom systems marked.
