Now it's easier to get electricity for your car in Grenaa. Grenaa Port's partner Sustain is setting up ten electric charging stations on the port's premises, and the first have been put into use.

The infrastructure at Port of Grenaa gets another boost in a green direction as the company SustainRecharge sets up ten electric charging stations on the port's premises.

"The rollout of electric charging stations is in full swing in Denmark, and it is of course obvious to place charging stations in a traffic hub such as Port of Grenaa.
In SustainRecharge, we look forward to citizens experiencing our reliable solution and how easy it is to charge with the Spirii Go App", says Jens Almdal, CEO, SustainRecharge.

A charging solution that will benefit private cars, tourists and businesses

SustainRecharge electric charging stations are free for anyone to use, without any commitment, membership fee or subscription. This will benefit many of the port's users, whether they are the many employees of the companies at the port, or tourists taking the Stena Line ferry to Sweden or visiting the Kattegat Centre.

"At Port of Grenaa , supporting the development of resilient and sustainable infrastructure is a clear priority. That's why we're delighted that Sustain is setting up ten electric charging stations in the port area, which will benefit a really large target group. The charging stations are in line with the port's efforts to promote the transition to and development of renewable energy", says Henrik Carstensen, CEO, Port of Grenaa A/S.

The first electric charging stations are in use

The first electric car drivers have already put green power in the tanks of the electric charging stations.
Local electricians have installed the first six electric charging stations at the Port Centre, Havnecentervej 1, which is the headquarters and administration of the Port of Grenaa.
The remaining four charging points will be installed at Færgevej 2 by the end of November 2021.
