An exciting job at one of Denmark's largest commercial and industrial ports.

You will have a core function for the port's continued development by ensuring solid and stable management of the finances of the entire group, which is represented by Port of Grenaa and the subsidiaries Driftsselskabet Port of Grenaa, Sydhavnen A/S and Anholt Havn A/S.

We give you plenty of opportunities for professional development and support you to shape the CFO position for you in the long term. As part of the management team, you will have direct influence on the company and our development. This includes the development of the company's financial strategy.

You will have management responsibility for the finance department with a team of three employees in addition to yourself.
We prioritize the training of trainees very highly, which is why there may also be room for a trainee on your team in the long term.

You can, dare and must challenge our existing practices - and ensure continued proactive development with more involvement of artificial intelligence (AI).our current robots can be programmed for even more tasks.

The tasks

  • Overall day-to-day responsibility for the group's finances
  • Accounting and reporting on a monthly basis
  • Presentation of interim and annual financial statements
  • Preparation and follow-up on budgets, including liquidity
  • Reporting at board meetings, regarding finances
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable management including bookkeeping, payment and follow-up
  • Tax, VAT and audit preparation
  • Contact with auditors and financial partners
  • Payroll accounting and backup for the finance department
  • Optimization by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and increasing the use of our robots
  • Collecting data for ESG reporting

Your profile

You are not only strong in analyzing numbers, but also in the good, daily dialogue with your employees, where you can embrace, motivate and develop your team. You thrive in positive and close collaboration with others, both within the organization and with external partners. In addition, you have a natural understanding of balancing the team's efforts and the connections to the rest of the organization.

You are the one who prioritizes, sets the framework and direction for your department. You work in a structured way, take responsibility and ensure high quality in your deliveries on the one hand, and on the other hand, you like to take a big part in the social life and our joint Friday breakfast.

Your educational background may be an accountant, MBA or other experience as an accounting
manager or finance manager. In practical terms, it would be an advantage, but certainly not a requirement, if you have experience with our financial system Business Central. Naturally, you are also our new Excel shark.
